Educational Programme

The course syllabus offers English Language tuition at all levels from Elementary to Advanced (No Beginners) and is designed to improve both the oral and written skills of the students, enabling them to understand English easily and to give them the ability to speak confidently and fluently.

All students take a Placement test on the first day of the course to assess their knowledge of English. Classes are formed only on the results of these tests and are kept as multinational as possible. A student's age is not used as criteria for class formation. The age age within class is varied. The average number of students is 13 per class (Maximum 15). This enables students to enjoy maximum participation in the lesson and a high level of individual attention from the teacher.

Our teachers are all qualified and experienced in teaching English as a foreign language and use up-to-date materials and techniques of language teaching.

There are twenty-four periods of tuition per week (20 hours) - five mornings and two afternoons, as well as lectures/talks on topics of interest and current affairs. In the morning lessons all students will be taught by three different teachers. The teachers will cover different language skills appropriate to the class level, these might include grammar, listening, reading, and speaking skills. During the afternoon lessons, students of an intermediate level or below can continue with their general English programme whilst students of an upper intermediate level or above may choose a different option such as current affairs or business English etc.

The progress of each student is under continuous assessment and if teachers feel that a student has studied to the best of their ability and has attended classes regularly then a Certificate of Attendance will be given at the end of the course. The Course Director will supply written reports for individual students on request. A voluntary leaving test is also available.
